Pudong Airport transfer is done by a Maglev Train( ¥50) or subway.
Shanghai Public Transportation Card(SPTC) — universal top-up public transport card which works in buses, trolleybuses, subways, Maglev, ferries and taxis.
Ferries also move between the most popular tourist spots — The Bund and Pudong.
DiDi — the most popular Taxi App.
Baidu Maps — the most accurate App for navigation in China(in Chinese with Search in English), Maps.me can also be used.

Communication.
China Mobile, China Telecom & China Unicom — main mobile operators that provide local SIM-Cards(requires a passport).
To access Google and social networks you will need a VPN. eSIM Hong Kong and other countries allow one to bypass the issue on mobile appliances.

Currency.
1$ ~ 7 CNY
Alipay/WeChat Pay Apps — the most popular payment methods for tourists. Currency exchange is better done in bigger banks(Bank of China, ICBC), it will require to present a passport and fill out a form. Cash can be withdrawn from UnionPay, VISA and Mastercard cards from ATMs.

Safety.
It is recommended to install an Online Translator App.
In tourist and populated areas there is a danger of pickpockets and scammers trying to force services upon victims.
